(SYS-CON Media) - WebSideStory, provider of real-time customer intelligence solutions, announced it has been named as a finalist for the 2007 Codie Awards presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). WebSideStory was recognized in the Best Enterprise Search Engine category for its new WebSideStory Search 4.0 with Active Browsing product.
“After winning in the same category last year, WebSideStory is honored to be recognized as a finalist for the second year running,” said Brian Sullivan, senior vice president and general manager of search and content solutions. “This significant acknowledgment publicly affirms the continued advancement of our site search solution and our leadership in incorporating new technologies into our products that deliver measurable results for our customers.”
WebSideStory received this distinguished recognition for its WebSideStory Search 4.0 product with the patent-pending Active Browsing capability. The product leverages AJAX, a Web 2.0 technology, to create a “clickless browsing experience,” enabling search users to preview product facet information and “more like this” categories just by rolling their mouse over specific search results. This industry-first release delivers greatly enhanced speed and interactivity, and an improved visitor experience overall.
“The 2007 Codie Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage in the contest,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. “Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a Codie Finalist a major achievement. All the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition.”
The Codie Awards celebrate achievement and vision in software, education technology and digital content. This year's finalists were chosen from more than 1,200 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies – breaking the record set in the 2006 awards. The awards will be judged by a combination of journalists and peers and announced at the 2007 Codie Awards Gala on April 17, 2007 in San Francisco, Calif.
